Reno started his electrical career in 1983 and has spent four decades finding problems other electricians walk away from. Our approach has never changed: we figure out what is actually causing the problem before recommending any repairs. We are licensed by the Arizona Registrar of Contractors for both residential and commercial work. We pull the permits and coordinate with the city and SRP or APS, so you never have to.
Whatever your situation, one call gets you a real person. During business hours, that is usually Sharee, who can often walk you through a tripped GFCI or breaker over the phone at no charge. After hours, an on-call electrician answers and tells you honestly whether it is an emergency or something that can safely wait until morning.
What Happens When You Call RSB Electrical
Hiring an electrician should not feel like a gamble. Here is exactly how it works when you call us, whether it is a dead outlet in Gilbert or a lighting contract for a restaurant chain.
A real person answers
You will not fight a phone tree. If it is a tripped breaker or GFCI, we will try to help you get it back on over the phone at no charge. If it will not reset, keeps tripping, or does not make sense, we schedule a visit. Any sign of heat, burning, or sparking, and we treat it as an emergency.
We show up when we say we will
Simple as that. You get a scheduled window, and if anything changes, you hear from us first. We will keep you updated at every step.
We find the cause, not just the symptom
What looks like a simple electrical problem is often just the symptom. We slow down, gather facts, and test before we touch anything, because replacing parts without proving what failed is how other shops waste your money.
You get a written quote, honored for 30 days
Estimates are free. After the site visit, we price the job properly and get you a written quote, typically the next day. The number you approve is the number you pay. Never hidden fees.
The work is done right, permitted, and warrantied
We pull permits online, walk them through with city inspectors, and coordinate with SRP or APS when the job touches the service. Labor and materials carry a one-year warranty from the date of completion, and your invoice serves as proof of warranty.
“I called RSB Electrical to help with a few outlets that had stopped working. Sharee took my call and walked me through finding and resetting the GFIs in different parts of our house. I was able to fix the problem over the phone! In this day and age when they could have charged me a bunch of money to come fix a simple problem, they helped me solve it myself.”

Why Choose RSB Electrical
“Chase was the electrician that came to do the work. He was personable, professional and got the job done in considerably less time than was estimated. He fixed issues I did not realize I had in the panel that could have caused serious problems. While I was given an estimate for my requested work the actual bill was considerably less.”
“What a wonderful experience we had on our commercial building in Mesa. We had called another company to find a short in our outdoor lighting. They left us an absolute mess. Then I found this company. They had an actual person answer the phone, who got a technician to come out within the hour. He found and repaired within an hour. They are a family business that charges fair prices!”

Find answers to common questions about estimates, emergencies, licensing, panels, and the way we work across the Valley.
1.How much will my electrical job cost?
Honestly, it depends on what we find, and we will not insult you with a blind number over the phone. Material prices change constantly, so we look first, then quote in writing, typically the next day. Estimates are free, and the quote is honored for 30 days.
2.Are you really available 24/7?
Yes. During business hours, the office answers; after hours and on weekends, the on-call electrician picks up. Response for true emergencies is typically within two hours. Overtime rates apply after 5 p.m. and on weekends, and we tell you up front.
3.What counts as an electrical emergency?
No power to your home, no power to your AC in summer or heat in winter, a buzzing panel, or a burning smell: call immediately. A single dead outlet feels urgent but can safely wait, and we will schedule you for next-day service rather than charging you for overtime.
4.Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. AZ ROC License #167102, classification CR-11, covering residential and commercial electrical, and fully insured. You can verify the license on the Arizona ROC contractor search.
5.Do you charge for estimates?
No. Estimates are free. We visit, we look, and you get a written quote, usually the next day.
6.My home was built in the 1970s. Should I be worried about aluminum wiring?
Valley homes built between 1969 and 1977 commonly have aluminum branch wiring, and both insurers and buyers increasingly force the issue. We repair aluminum connections and offer full aluminum rewiring, and we can tell you what your home actually needs.
7.Do you work with businesses and property managers?
Yes, under the same CR-11 license: restaurants, offices, retail, medical, schools, apartment turns, and ongoing lighting maintenance contracts for multi-location businesses and property management companies.
8.Will you tell me how to fix it myself?
If it is safe and simple, yes. Sharee regularly walks callers through GFCI and breaker resets for free. DIY panel work or hidden wiring changes are a different story: they usually cost twice as much to undo, and insurance may refuse to cover damage from unlicensed work.
9.My breaker keeps tripping. Can I just keep resetting it?
Please do not. A breaker that keeps tripping is doing its job: protecting you from an overloaded circuit or a fault. Resetting it over and over, or installing a bigger breaker to stop the nuisance, is how house fires start. Let us find out why it trips.
10.Do you install solar panels or fix AC units?
No solar installs, and we cannot repair your AC, though we absolutely run and repair the power feeding it. We also do not run cable-company lines, and your electric meter itself belongs to SRP or APS. For all of those, we will point you to the right specialist.
11.Do you install customer-supplied fixtures?
Yes. Keep in mind that customer-supplied materials carry a labor-only warranty; materials we supply, along with our labor, are covered for one year.
12.What is your warranty?
Labor and materials are warranted for one year from completion. Materials you supply yourself are covered for labor only. Your invoice is your warranty proof; there is nothing extra to register or lose.
